Biography
- Jared Knight is the manager of programs for more than 5,000 children each year at the BYU Aspen Grove Family Camp, where he has been since 1996. He is also the president of the Southwest Section of the American Camp Association, where he is also a standards visitor. Knight began a career of serving children as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Canada, where he volunteered for the Boys and Girls Club. He received a bachelor of science degree in recreation management and youth leadership and a master’s degree in public administration from Brigham Young University. Knight has also served as the director of development for United Way of Utah County, and as a camp director for the Boy Scouts of America. He has also been on several boards of directors for community-based organizations focusing on the health, recreation, and education of children. He and his wife, LaDonna, live in Utah with their three children, Rachel, Alex, and Emerson.
