Camp offers a great opportunity for children with Asperger's syndrome and autism spectrum disorders
to build skills and experience success. Asperger's and Autism at Camp: Supporting
Campers With Social Challenges presents strategies for helping these children to be successful
in a variety of camp settings. The DVD addresses a number of relevant issues, including these
campers' strengths and challenges, strategies for promoting social and behavioral success, and
ways to help staff understand these terrific "quirky" children.

Biography
- Jennifer Harber is a program consultant for YouthCare (www.mghyouthcare.org), a program of the Massachusetts General Hospital that provides therapeutic services to children and adolescents with social cognitive deficits such as Asperger's syndrome, non-verbal learning disabilities, and high-functioning autism. Her areas of professional involvement include therapeutic summer camps, community-based teen programs, social skills groups, trainings, and educational consultations. She has a M.Ed. degree in risk and prevention from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, a certificate in autism spectrum disorders from Antioch University, and a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University in psychology and mathematics.
