Most coaches agree that dealing with parents is often one of the most challenging (and difficult) aspects of their jobs. Coaching the Athlete’s Parents presents an overview of how coaches can help the parents of their athletes know what their rightful role is in regard to their behavior. Biography
- Kathi Wieskamp currently teaches physical education and serves as the head volleyball coach at Lincoln Southeast (NE) High School. As a coach, her teams have made several state tournament appearances. In the process, she has become the winningest volleyball coach in the Knights’ history. Kathi also teaches several coaching theory courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels at both Wayne State University (NE) and the University of Nebraska. As a volleyball player at the University of Nebraska, she was a member of the 1986 National Championship runner-up team. While at the University of Nebraska, she earned honors as both an academic and athletic All-American. In the summer of 1985, Kathi played on the USA Junior National Team that represented the United States in China and Japan. In addition, Kathi serves as the color commentator for the University of Nebraska volleyball team and the Nebraska state high school volleyball tournament.
