Biography
Jerry Sandusky spent over 30 years on the football staff at Penn State University, serving as the linebackers coach and defensive coordinator. During his illustrious tenure with the Nittany Lions, he had a significant role in Penn State being proclaimed “Linebacker U.” The list of the numerous All-Americans he coached includes Jack Ham, Matt Miller, Shane Conlan, Brandon Short, and Lavar Arrington. Sandusky was the architect of one of the most renowned and successful defenses in the country. During his years on the Nittany Lions’ staff, Penn State won two national championships, had six undefeated regular seasons, won 19 of 28 bowl games, and had the highest winning percentage of any Big 10 team in the 1990s.
Nick Gasparato is the former assistant head football coach at Dutch Fork (SC) High School, a position he held for one season (2006), before his untimely passing in 2007. Before that, he served as the head football coach at Cape Coral (FL) High School. Nick began his career as a youth coach at Sacred Heart School in Jeannette, PA. He also coached at State College High School in State College, PA and Central Bucks West High School in Doylestown, PA. His collegiate coaching experience included stops at Pitt, Penn State, Virginia, Michigan State, South Carolina, and Temple. In his highly respected career, he served as an offensive line coach, offensive coordinator, and tight ends coach, as well as a special teams specialist.
