Biography
- Lorraine Barbarash has been teaching in a multiethnic high school in New York since 1978 and has been the assistant principal for health and physical education and the athletic director there since 1987. Her extensive experience working with children also includes more than three decades at camps as a counselor, group leader, athletic director, and assistant head counselor; several seasons as a varsity, high-school girl's and boy's soccer coach; and three years as a Cub Scout den leader. Lorraine is a member of the American Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance and the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. She holds a master's degree in supervision and administration in health and physical education. She lives in Staten Island, New York, where she enjoys reading, walking, and attending her son's athletic games.
