Biography
- Alfie Kohn writes and speaks widely on human behavior, education, and social theory. Kohn is the author of severl books including No Contest, The Brighter Side of Human Nature: Altruism and Empathy in Everyday Life, and What to Look for in a Classroom. His articles have appeared in The Atlantic, The Nation, the New York Times and dozens of other popular magazines and academic journals. A former teacher, he now lectures at universities and to teachers, managers, and parents across the country. Kohn was educated at Brown University and the University of Chicago. He lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
